BRW magazine has ranked Cohort Digital in this year’s BRW 2011 Fast Starter List , confirming Cohort’s leading position in the Australian lead generation industry.
Since its formation in 2008, Cohort has provided innovative lead generation solutions to meet the demands of today’s digital advertisers, delivering over 2.5 million sales leads a year to advertisers looking to build databases and acquire new customers in a risk free and cost effective manner.
BRW identifies and honours the nation’s Fast Starters, as businesses and entrepreneurs who have demonstrated the solid business practices required to deliver rapid growth in a downturn exhibiting innovation and resilience. To have qualified, they must:
- Have commenced trading after June 30, 2006.
- Have reported at least two fiscal years of revenue.
- Have revenue of more than $500,000 in 2009-10.
- Revenue for 2009-10 must be more than in 2008-09
- Have 200 or fewer full-time employees.
- Have more than one main customer
- The bulk of revenue must not come from government grants or other start-up funding.
- Be Australian-owned, not a subsidiary of a multinational.
- Privately owned companies must have revenue figures verified by an external accountant or auditor.
The issue of the magazine will be on sale April 28 2011.

We are very excited to announce our recent move to brighter, new office space in Rosebery.
Just around the corner from our previous office in Zetland, our new office gives us more space, more natural light and a more integrated working environment. We just love it!
It’s perfect for transport links, the building’s canteen has proven extremely convenient for those early morning breakfasts, and we’re still close enough to the park so our team can continue with our weekly fitness training.

Our offices are situated in Zetland, a small suburb in Sydney, which is just a five minute drive from Redfern. Last year, multi millionaire Peter Bond, was part of the television show ‘Secret Millionaire’. Peter Bond lived in Redfern for a week and volunteered at a number of local charities including The Shop Women’s and Children’s Centre run by the incredible Susan Flower and her team of volunteers.
Susan kindly invited members of the Cohort team to The Shop to attend one of their famous Wednesday lunches, where they open the doors for local women and children to come and eat. Susan explained to us the kind of services The Shop offers to the community. It functions as a safe haven for women seeking crisis counselling, parenting and social support and during the lunch we could see why Peter Bond had chosen to help out. The devotion that Susan and other staff members have towards their job is incredible to see. The staff members not only open the doors of The Shop to these women, they also open the doors to their own hearts.
Every Christmas, a Christmas party is organised for all of the children whose mothers have visited The Shop. This year Cohort Digital was given the important task of ensuring that Santa Claus and his team of helpers made it to Redfern Park on time. The Christmas Party was a massive success with lots of happy faces after the children had unwrapped their presents. One bemused face was that of Cohort Digital’s financial controller who we gave the appropriate role of Santa. But just like Ebenezer Scrooge from a Christmas Carol, he came good in the end.
It was a valuable experience that has hopefully created a long lasting relationship between The Shop and Cohort Digital.
